Hey guys, I have a very exciting announcement to make. Dinar Douchebags will soon be going to a new format where all members will have access to the latest and most credible details about the coming redenomination of the Iraqi dinar, and the douchebags who are trying to convince people that it's going to be a revaluation instead. For only $15 a month you will receive emails and text messages for breaking news and developments, access to weekly conference calls, and a guaranteed reservation for the post-RD bash in New York City. I'm currently in the process of booking a tax attorney who can show everybody how to deduct dinar losses on your income taxes. By going to this format we'll also be able to keep the troublemakers away and protect everybody's privacy. I'll fill you in on the details as soon as I get them worked out. I just wanted to give everybody a heads up because as of May 1 the site will be accessible for members only. No more freeloaders! We have bills to pay! DDB is the best guru-busting site on the web, and with the new membership funds we will be able to make our services even better. So tell all your lopper friends about the coming transition. We don't want anybody to be left out.

Questions for "Adam"
-
Here are my responses to this week's questions for Adam "Wolfyman" Montana.
- How is the changing of the guard at CBI going to effect the chances of an RV? Some folks think it is so Maliki can plunder the reserves. What's your thoughts? Well it didn't have much effect the last time they changed it, now did it? People have been saying that about Maliki for years but the reserves keep growing. However, it's their country and they can run it into the ground if they see fit. That's a risk you take in buying the currency of an unstable country.
- Concerning the loss of value of the us dollar when the RV comes. If the dollar devalues against the Dinar, Dong, etc. How much of the buying power will the US dollar decrease? The dinar is pegged to the USD, so if the dollar loses value the dinar loses value too. If they revalue or devalue it won't make much difference, since (contrary to what the idiot gurus are telling you) those two actions are relatively insignificant in nature. As for the dong, Vietnam prefers to slowly devalue it so I'm not expecting any increase any time soon. The dollar might decrease a few % in value, but in the last few years it seems to be holding up fairly well on the forex. I look for that to continue short term.
- How do you think an rv would affect the stock in iraq? Not much. It's just an exchange rate vs. foreign currencies. Raising the value a few % would only have a negligible impact. Would they just change the nominal value and I'm still left with the same amount of stock? Changing the nominal value would be an RD, not an RV. After they redenominate your stock in XYZ that sold for 1,000 dinar will now sell for 1 dinar.
- Can you give a breakdown of what is happening now in Iraq? Violence, corruption, sectarian division ..... same ol' same ol'. We heard that Turki is being removed and that all has been completed including the HCL, just not implemented. Who knows? Who cares? None of that is going to raise the value of the dinar substantially. What laws are still hanging out there that have to be done? Ditto. What are your contacts in Iraq saying. What contacts? I can't believe they are waiting on the elections to revalue currency. Just doesn't make sense. You're right, it doesn't. They've raised the value in the past with Maliki in office. The only reason they aren't raising the value now is that they apparently don't see the need to.
- I thought the HCL had been impemented and done. Am I wrong? Again ... Who knows? Who cares? It's irrelevant. If not what are we waiting on? An ice storm in hell? How can they be pushing oil through the lines without the HCL being im place and implemented? Just like they always have .... pump stations.
- I want to renew my three month VIP while the 28% discount is active. Dear God! Why??? The problem I am having is due to the fact that I have renewed several times in the past and the renewal was effective from the date I renewed even though I still had time left on the original. Right now my membership does not expire until April/17/14. Forget about the 28% discount. Save 100% and drop that VIP membership like a hot brick!
- It seems to me that Iraq is doing just fine.they just bought 36 tonnes of gold.why would they RV? Very good, Grasshopper!
- To add to the above question..... where did the gold come from...how did they pay for it....and what is the value of their reserves now? The gold was probably bought on the gold market with funds from the reserves which are mostly USD. Last I saw their reserves came to around $80 billion. What will it take to implement the HCL? Who is in charge of that? Back on that, are we? also... if Maliki is not reelected...(a whole other topic) then who could be? and what do we know about them? To be honest I don't follow the political process very much as I deem it totally irrelevant when it comes to the dinar's value. They're all Iraqis and they're all politicians, and none of them are going to cause the dinar's value to go up enough to make any money.
- When a post here uses the word article then has a colon then quotation marks Does this mean an article out of a newspaper? If so why not a link to that paper on line so i can read entire article for myself ? Article......makes me think newspaper article. But im in my 50's so maybe it means something different today. Seeing as how you're referring to "Adam's" site I can't answer that. The vast majority of articles that gurus refer to are written in Arabic and translated into gibberish where they're then interpreted by anonymous gurus who end up making no sense and contradicting each other. Stick with documents that are written in plain English like the IMF statements and advisories from official banking, law enforcement, government, and consumer protection organizations about hard currency scams like the dinar. You might also want to read up on the concepts of revaluation, redenomination, and currency valuation so that you'll understand how you're being lied to by the pumpers.
- IYO do you think that Iraq is conducting the census through the election cards? This seems like a very cost effective and accurate way of determining the numbers in each household. Cost effective maybe, but accurate? And how is that relevant to the dinar?
- I know you don't give dates, but how long does it take to get a certificate? Not long, assuming you're certifiable. LOL! What am I saying? You'd have to be certifiable to want to join VIP!
- Is it just speculation that the WH has some influence with the CBI (re: RV) one way or the other? Yes it is. Influence? Perhaps. Control? No. And contrary to what the gurus are telling you, whatever influence is pertaining to the currency reform which is not a revaluation but a lop.
- What does the recent IMF consultation mean for the RV? NADA!!! There is no RV. I'll have a post on this in a couple of days.
- Why does Iraq always seem to have money, but never enough to RV? They could RV a few % if they wanted to, but they don't want to. In fact, they could RV a lot more than that if they would just reduce the money supply, but again ... they don't want to.
- This is a follow up to previous question above. Here is link to article stating (as I understand it) the Turki has been replaced as CBI governor. \http://www.altahreer...ew.asp?ID=20600 Now I'm reading articles saying that he is in Jordan at a big blow out with international banking leaders or buying truck loads of gold bullion. What gives? Who knows with those wacky Iraqis??!!

What if.... ?
One of the biggest hurdles to overcome in the dinar investment is the fear of missing out if there really is a historic revaluation of the IQD. Nobody wants to look back someday and say "I should have bought some" or "I never should have sold". "What if they really do revalue back to a dollar, two dollars, three dollars .... ? Can you imagine how upset you'd be if you passed up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like that?"
Sound familiar? I'll admit that I struggled with the "what if" question myself. In fact the reason I held on to a small amount of dinar for the first year or so of this blog is I still considered it possible that they could RV to $.001 or $.002 prior to redenominating so I could still double or triple my money. It has been a slow and painful process for me to grasp the fact that there's no money to be made here, and plenty to be lost in the worst case scenario. The key to freedom from "what if?" is education. The more I have learned the more confidence I have develeoped in my decision to sell.
If you'll study revaluations you'll discover that they're typically small adjustments of a few %. In fact the largest revaluation in history was about 35%. No currency has ever revalued at 10,000-300,000% like the gurus are talking about. When you point out these facts some people will say "sure, there's never been a revaluation this big, but there's a first time for everything right?" Well no, there's not. There's not a first time for the sun to rise in the west. It always rises in the east. The key to understanding that is through learning how the solar system works. Once you do nobody will ever be able to convince you that the sun could rise in the west, no matter how good their sources for that intel are. The same is true with currency revaluation.
The first thing you need to realize about the dinar is that it is classified as a pegged currency. Now as John Jagerson has pointed out, the only truly pegged currency in the world is the euro. The pegged currencies of the oil based economies of the Arab world are "de facto" pegs. In other words they are so tightly managed that they might as well be pegged, but in reality they are managed or "dirty" floats. The way they maintain stability with their exchange rates is through manipulation of the money supply. I wrote about this last year in a post called Dirty Float.
Sometimes you'll hear people in the "Go RV" crowd talking about how Iraq can set the dinar's value anywhere they want. "After all", they reason, "what's backing the US dollar? If the US doesn't have to back their currency why does Iraq?" The difference is this ... the US dollar is a free floating currency. The market determines the value. It's traded internationally and is used as a reserve currency. The US is considered a very stable country, maintaining the same form of government for well over two centuries now. Its economy is diverse. Its military is strong. Its infrastructure is well developed. Its people are comparitively well educated. These factors generate confidence in the dollar, despite the US debt and sluggish economy. For all of the talk out there about how the dollar is going to crash, the fact is other currencies are losing ground against the dollar.
Take a look at the Japanese yen's valuation over the past two years. It's down over 25%.
Or consider the euro. It gained a lot of ground vs. the USD prior to the 2008 financial crisis, hitting a high of nearly $1.60. Today, with the economic problems of the European Union it has fallen to around $1.35.
And finally we'll look at Great Britain's pound. It also lost ground after 2008.
These currency charts show no looming collapse of the dollar. Conspiracy theorists like to talk about the dollar's demise but in reality other nations like Japan and China don't want to see the dollar collapse because they need US consumers to buy their products. The dollar will much more likely decline slowly over the years rather than collapse suddenly overnight.
Now, getting back to the dinar, there is no such confidence in Iraq's currency. Their government has only been in existence for ten years. Their people aren't as educated, their infrastructure isn't as developed, their military isn't as strong, and their economy isn't diverse (it's 90% oil). In addition they have the constant exposure to terrorist activitiy and sectarian violence. With such an unstable environment there's no way that a country like Iraq could have a free floating currency, so they back their currency with foreign currency reserves like the other oil based economies of that region.
Since their reserves total approximately $80 billion, and their M2 money supply is shown at about 85 trillion dinar, the math doesn't show any millionaire creating revaluation on the horizon. $80b divided by 85 trillion = approximately $.00094 which is slightly higher than the dinar's current valuation of $.00086.
When you point these things out to some of the overnight millionaire crowd, they'll start talking about the fact that the world is going back to asset-backed currencies and that a global currency reset is coming, which will allow for Iraq to revalue the dinar to where the old Saddam dinar was thirty years ago. They have to say that the rules are changing you see, because the current rules will keep the value of the IQD about where it is now and the pumpers know that. So in effect dinar speculators are gambling on the fact that this mythical and quite impossible reset will allow Iraq to revalue their currency hundreds of times more than the largest revaluation in history. It's kind of like saying that somebody is going to change the laws of the universe which will result in the sun rising in the west. Would you risk thousands of dollars on that?
This could very well be a moot point anyway, considering that the CBI has announced their intent to redenominate. This is very common with currencies that have depreciated due to hyperinflation as is the case with the dinar. That would leave the IQD with no value at all when the exchange window expires. (For further insight check out my post "RD 101".) But even if they don't redenominate, the reality of the de facto peg exchange regime and the financial figures allows for no history making revaluation.
If you understand how the solar system works, you understand why the sun always rises in the east. And if you understand how Iraq's currency's value is determined, you understand why no big RV is forthcoming. "What if" is now eliminated.

Douche of the Month
A while back I said that I was only going to award Douchies on an ad hoc basis. Well I think it's time to add a hoc. A man named Dave Schmidt has been calling the RV lately, although he wasn't really calling it because he only said that it was happening or unfolding or something like that. Then when nothing happened he resorted to the old fallback used by Phoenix and others that it's a fluid situation, meaning it's unpredictable and things are subject to change. Can you say "wiggle room"? Whatever! One has to ask "if it's unpredictable then why are you trying to predict it?" Actually my theory about this guy with his "Sedona Connection" (Sedona, Arizona is a hotbed for enthusiasts of the paranormal) is that he is trying to cut into Phoenix' market share by mixing conspiracy theories with RV/GCR hype, backed up by his credentials as a former elected official. He claims to be a former state senator and he claims to have top notch intel on the GCR and the RV.
Unfortunately he also claims to have seen a UFO.
At this time I'd like to provide a few links for a little light reading on Davey.
http://www.spokesman.com/elections/2010/washington-general-election/candidates/dave-schmidt/ (Okay, maybe that claim was true.)

Anyway, Dave is planning on doing a workshop in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on Sunday called "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" where he's going to offer advice on how to manage the millions of dollars you're going to have after the RV. Interesting how this guy who's got all the answers feels the need to include a "Donate" button on the same page where you see this announcement.
http://thesedonaconnection.wordpress.com/march-23rd-workshop-in-dallasft-worth/
It's incomprehensible why anybody would shell out hundreds or even thousands of dollars for advice on what to do with a fortune that they are only speculating on in the future. Obviously you will want to talk with financial planners and tax attorneys if a few million dollars falls into your lap, but anybody who wants you to fork over your hard earned money before this once in a lifetime event occurs would certainly have to be classified as dubious.

The End of the Wicked
This morning I logged on and read that TV pitchman Kevin Trudeau has been sentenced to ten years in prison. It seemed like the right time to publish this post I put together recently which talks about Trudeau and other famous scammers.
I don't talk about religion much, but since there are so many people of faith invested in the dinar I thought it might be a good idea to venture out on a certain topic. In Psalms. 73:3-19 David mentions that he struggled with the fact that dishonest people often prosper while honest people struggle. He says:
David concludes that the wicked may appear for now to be impervious to any consequences for their actions, but in the end they will surely face the music. Submitted for your approval ...
Remember a guy named Don Lapre? He was known as the king of infomercials, appearing in late night spots for nearly 20 years pitching everything from a classified ad "get rich quick" scheme to 900 number businesses to MLM to vitamins. In 2011 he was charged with 41 counts of fraud and committed suicide at the age of 47.
Before him there was a real estate infomercial guy named Dave Del Dotto. He ended up paying a $200,000 fine for defrauding investors in 1996 and wisely retired from the infomercial game. He went legit and founded a successful winery in Napa Valley.
One man who was inspired by Del Dotto was televangelist Robert Tilton, whose 5,000 member megachurch in the Dallas area dwindled to a congregation of about 300 before being dissolved in 1996 after he was the subject of an ABC Prime Time Live investigation on televangelists.
Another popular infomercial guy is a douche named Kevin Trudeau. He also pitched a number of products on television for 20 years before being incarcerated. From Wikipedia:
He was convicted of larceny and credit card fraud in the early 1990s, and in 1998 he was sued by U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for making false or misleading claims in infomercials promoting his book The Weight-Loss Cure "They" Don't Want You to Know About. In 2004, he settled that action, by agreeing to pay a $500,000 fine and consenting to a lifetime ban on promoting products other than his books via infomercials. On Nov. 29, 2011, theSeventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a $37.6 million fine levied against him for violating that 2004 settlement. Additionally, on remand, the district court modified its final order, requiring that he post a $2 million bond before engaging in future infomercial advertising. In April 2013 he was reported to have filed for bankruptcy to avoid fines and stay further Federal prosecution. In September and October 2013, he was twice briefly jailed for continued failure to pay fines related to his conviction, pleading poverty while continuing to live a lavish lifestyle. In November 2013, Trudeau was convicted of criminal contempt and incarcerated.
Here's a good journalistic piece on Trudeau.
Do you recognize this creepy guy? He's Klee Irwin of Irwin Naturals, a company that makes bowel cleansing kits which are pitched through infomercials as well. He was ordered to pay over $2.5 million in fines for fraud and unfair business practices. Seems the only thing getting cleaned out was the bank accounts of his customers.
Then of course there's the story of Bernie Madoff, the famous investment manager who bilked investors out of billions before being charged and convicted of investment fraud. He ran his investment firm/ponzi scheme for nearly half a century before it all came tumbling down on him. He's now serving what amounts to a life sentence in a prison in North Carolina.
I could include a few dozen more if I had the time. Scammers have been hawking worthless crap on TV and the internet since they were invented. Everything from diet pills/supplements to exercise equipment to winning lottery techniques to miraculous stock trading software. But I think I've made my point. I'm bringing all of this out for a couple of reasons. First, you should know that 90% of what you see in infomercials and investment enticements is BS. This is why we have the BBB, Consumer Reports, the SEC, the FTC ... etc. Always proceed with caution with any claims that sound dubious, and double check everything. And second, this should serve as a warning to scammer wannabees. You might get away with it for awhile, but judgment day always comes. You might be riding high on the naivety of others today, but you're going to be brought down eventually.
The bible also says "Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich." (Prov. 28:6) In other words, you're better off honest and poor than a rich douchebag. (That's the Sam I Am paraphrase.)
All of these people made millions by defrauding the public. They all appeared successful and untouchable at one time, but they all had to pay the piper when the music ended. Such will be the fate of those behind the dinar scam.

3 ... I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong. 5 They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. 7 From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their minds know no limits. 8 They scoff, and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. 9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. 10 Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. 11 They say, "How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?" 12 This is what the wicked are like-- always carefree, they increase in wealth. 13 Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure; in vain have I washed my hands in innocence. 14 All day long I have been plagued; I have been punished every morning. 15 If I had said, "I will speak thus," I would have betrayed your children. 16 When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me 17 till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. 18 Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin. 19 How suddenly are they destroyed, completely swept away by terrors!

I FIND IT REPREHENSIBLE THAT WE ARE BEING ASKED TO FILE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE DINAR BEING A SCAM. IT IS NOT A SCAM. ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT PURCHASED IT PERSONALLY I HAVE PURCHASED THE VIETNAMESE DONG NUMEROUS TIMES FROM WELLS FARGO, WHO GOT IT THROUGH THE UST.
THE GCR (GLOBAL CURRENCY REVALUATION) SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN OCTOBER/NOVEMBER OF 2013. THOSE OF US WHO HAVE PURCHASED FOREIGN CURRENCY SUCH AS THE IRAQI DINAR AND VIETNAMESE DONG HAVE BEEN PATIENTLY WAITING FOR IT TO REVALUE. WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD HAPPEN IN OCTOBER. THEN WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD HAPPEN BY THANKSGIVING SO WE WOULD HAVE AN AWESOME BLACK FRIDAY AND COULD PUMP MONEY INTO THE ECONOMY. THEN WE WERE TOLD BY CHRISTMAS, THEN BY NEW YEARS, ETC. DO YOU GET THE PICTURE?
HERE'S THE PART THAT I CAN'T ABIDE. BACK IN NOV. AND DEC., SENATORS, CONGRESSMEN AND OTHER ELITES STARTED BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN AND EXCHANGE THEIR CURRENCY. WE WERE TOLD IT'S JUST HOW THINGS ARE... THAT THE ELITE GET TO GO FIRST. THEN THE ELITE STARTED SENDING THROUGH THEIR FAMILIES, GARDENERS, CHAUFEURS, FRIENDS, ETC. WHILE WE SAT BACK WAITING. TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS WENT THAT WAY.
NEXT IN DEC. AND JAN. THE BANKERS STARTED RUNNING THEIR PEOPLE THRU TO DO THE EXCHANGE. WEALTH MANAGERS WERE TOLD TO CONTACT THOSE IN THEIR JURISDICTION WITH A BALANCE OF $5 MILLION IN WEALTH OR MORE TO GO PURCHASE DINAR AND COME TO THOSE BANKS TO EXCHANGE. AGAIN... TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS WERE LIQUIDATED BY PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THIS INVESTMENT. WE JUST STOOD BY WAITING... AND MORTIFIED THAT OUR OWN GOVERNMENT KNEW AND WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.
IT'S IMPORTANT THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS... WE WON'T JUST SIT IDLY BY AND ACT LIKE THIS NEVER HAPPENED. MANY WHO VOTED FOR BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA ARE DISALLUSIONED AND WILL BE VOTING DIFFERENTLY IN THE NEXT ELECTIONS.
TO SUMMARIZE, MY COMPLAINT IS NOT THAT THE DINAR IS A SCAM. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT MANY PEOPLE IN POWER KNEW HOW THE MONEY WAS BEING SQUANDERED ON THE ELITE AND THOSE CHOSEN BY WEALTH MANAGERS. WE ARE BEING ASKED TO ACCEPT THAT THIS IS JUST A SCAM. INSTEAD IT IS AN ABOMINATION AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, THEIR RIGHT TO PURCHASE FOREIGH CURRENCY AND BASED ON ORDER 13303 BE ABLE TO EXCHANGE IT. iT IS AN ABOMINATION AGAINST THOSE WHO FOUGHT IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN AND MADE THIS INVESTMENT. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW THEY ARE FEELING RIGHT NOW? THEY LOST LIMBS AND LIVES AND FAMILY MEMBERS, AND THE US GOVERNMENT IS TELLING THEM IT WAS ALL A SCAM.
OUR GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED. SOME ARE SAYING WHAT THE BANKS DID WAS INSIDER TRADING. CLEARLY WHAT THE ELITES DID WAS TAKE MONEY OUT OF THE HANDS OF THE MIDDLE AND LOWER CLASS WHO TRULY NEED THE MONEY AND PUT IT INTO THE HANDS OF THE ALREADY VERY WEALTHY. SOME OF THOSE MIDDLE AND LOWER CLASS PEOPLE WHO PURCHASED FOREIGN CURRENCY ARE IN NEED OF A PLACE TO LIVE, FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICAL CARE, ETC. AND INSTEAD OF LETTING THOSE PEOPLE EXCHANGE... THE POWERS THAT BE INSTEAD FELT IT WAS "PRUDENT AND APPROPRIATE" TO GIVE THE MONEY TO THE ALREADY WEALTHY AND MAKE THE RICH JUST GET RICHER.
IT'S WRONG WHAT THEY DID... AND THEY KNOW IT'S WRONG!
ALL"WE THE PEOPLE" ASK is do the RIGHT thing.
