Adam Montana Speaks

Yesterday Adam Montana spoke publicly for the first time about the revelations posted on my blog over the past six months.  In his weekly Q&A session James Wolf aka Adam Montana responded as follows:

[
kcw] Patriotic_mess Adam, you are well respected in the Dinar community and many people look to you as a guide (including myself). Yet there some people who have websites listing groups of gurus as scammers and you're name happens to pop up on a few of them. You yourself have said Adam Montana is not your real name and that's fine if you want to hide your real identity, but a few sites go into a lot of detail about the man behind the name and give pages of evidence that person or people are involved in some shady business. What do you have to say to these claims? I'm not accusing you of anything, I just want to hear what you have to say to these accusations. Thanks.
[Adam Montana] I'm perfectly happy to respond to the "accusations", but first I want to know if your name is really "patriotic mess" lol!
[Adam Montana] I assume not, but let's move on - no, my name isn't Adam. My contacts are real, the benefits provided for my VIP members after the RV have nothing to do with my "real" name, and my opinions are mine whether I'm an 80 year old Harvard graduate or a 25 year old business man.
[Adam Montana] If you agree with my opinions, awesome. If you don't - good for you as well
[Adam Montana] Regarding the "scam" part of my sites - lol! I don't give financial advice, it's clearly stated all over the place that VIP supports the site and there is no guarantee on anything here, and I'm probably the only "guru" out there that will actually tell you that you might take a loss on this investment.
[Adam Montana] *MIGHT*. We all know that.
[Adam Montana] Now, if you want my real name and address... please, give me a break I have a family, I have a life outside of Dinar, and I hope you can all respect that. [Adam Montana] next please!

Okay, now for my response to his response.  First of all, I'm really surprised that Wolfyman even bothered responding to the "accusations".  I think he would have been better off to simply ignore them, but just like Breitling he felt the need to say something.  I guess I just assumed that he's smarter than Breitling.  Maybe not.

As for protecting his family, Rudy Coenen, Brad Huebner, and Frank Villa have all provided their names for their members.  Don't they have families?  Do they care less about their families than "Adam" does?  Or is something else at play here?

Personally I don't care if his name is James Wolf, Adam Montana, or Ebenezer McGillicuddy. The name isn't what's important. It's what the name is covering up that most people are concerned about.  Maybe his name has nothing to do with VIP membership, but his claims about being a Harvard graduate who profited off the Kuwaiti dinar certainly do.  Aren't people more likely to join VIP to take advantage of the best negotiated cash-in rates and the lucrative post-RV deals set up by a 50 year old Harvard grad who was savvy enough to profit off the Kuwaiti dinar than they are from a 35 year old high school dropout who was too young to profit off the Kuwaiti dinar and who has a history of running porn sites?  Sure they are!  And his alias is obviously a way of covering up his true identity which would cut into his bottom line.

What struck me the most about Adam's response is his non-denial denial.  Wikipedia defines a non-denial denial as:

"a statement that seems direct, clearcut and unambiguous at first hearing, but when carefully parsed is revealed not to be a denial at all, and is thus not untruthful. It is a case in which words that are literally true are used to convey a false impression"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-denial_denial

In this session "Adam" never denied that his real name is James Wolf, and he never said that his claims about being a Harvard grad who profited off the Kuwaiti dinar were true.  In fact he essentially said that it doesn't matter whether they're true or not.  Incredible, huh?  He also didn't say that he indeed traveled to Dubai where he met with his CBI contact.  He just said "my contacts are real".  Wow!  Could you be more ambiguous?

Then he finishes up with "I don't give financial advice" and "there is no guarantee on anything here".  Not the point.  The point is he sold VIP membership based largely on a persona that he created rather than on the person he really is.

If people want to entrust their hard earned money to a guy with James Wolf's credentials then be my guest.  But I think it's only fair that they know his true qualifications as opposed to what he has been presenting up until now.

  1. Well he better hope that he has not po'ed anyone enough on his site or they will put out his personal info.....name, address, cell number, like such a person did to Miske!
I am not comparing the two though. I doubt Miske ran any porn sites. LOL

  2. It's sad that the member posted the question even after having all the info possible pointing to Adam being a fraud and still probably doesn't care and renewed their VIP subscription cause adam is going to make them millions more after the RV.......god people are dumb. Does patriotic mess really need a response from Adam? Facts are facts and Adam is a liar and his VIP sales pitch is fraud.

    1. The same thought occurred to me, calling. I took a look at his profile and posts and he seems to be a real member rather than an alias created for the sole purpose of asking this question. At some point you just have to wash your hands of these people and leave them to their own foolhardiness I guess.

    2. Perhaps, but maybe he felt he needed to present his question in such a way as to not get kicked out. Sometimes you gotta play the game to enjoy the comedy in these chat rooms.

    3. I didn't realize my question had made such a big splash. I was a member there for quite some time before seeing how fishy
things are, I then came here and found the evidence against him. I was on my way out of there so I figured I would throw the
question out there to see what kind of response I would get, I was disappointed in the response and the way the question was
danced around. Thanks Sam I Am for digging up dirt on the scammers.

    4. My pleasure, Bill. I mean that, too. I realize that the scammers are using their knowledge of internet technology to hype the dinar, so I put my knowledge of the same technology to use to turn the tables on them. I rather enjoy seeing them squirm as they're not used to being in this position.

  3. First of all Im actually wondering if this guy (Patriotic_mess) was set up to ask these questions. I don't buy his loyal sheep are actually reading this blog. If you read between the lines Wolf sidesteps the whole issue and notice that the guy does not press the fact that he didn't really answer his questions. But why Wolf said this totally baffles me:

ADAM MONTANA:" the benefits provided for my VIP members after the RV have nothing to do with my "real" name, and my opinions are mine whether I'm an 80 year old Harvard graduate or a 25 year old business man."

In my opinion James Wolf is not very bright. Anyone with a slice of intelligence can see by this statement that he knows he is completely busted
Why would you be so stupid to say that your VIP benefits have nothing to do with your real name? So all your contacts that you have big money deals with have no idea who you really are? Hmmm

I guess he has never heard the saying its sometimes more powerful to say nothing at all.

    1. Very good point, and I agree, that whole thing was a complete set up. Also, an innocent person would be denying the accusations like their life depended on it.

  4. It's pretty obvious what his intentions were. He's attempting to portray, and keep the focus on the "I'm an honest businessman seeking only to protect my family" image while in the process diverting attention from the REAL issues. He hopes that his followers will read that one line and agree that they wouldn't use their real name either, while completely ignoring or forgetting the fact that he never refutes the overwhelming volume of evidence against him. It ABSOLUTELY makes a difference whether he's an 80 year old Harvard Graduate, or a 25 year old businessman. The FACT is that he is neither, and has lied about virtually everything. If his members are OK with that reality, then they deserve everything they get from him. Finally, If his "VIP" membership doesn't provide "financial advice" then exactly what DOES it do and what is its purpose, whether pre or post RV? Keep up the great work Sam....Inquiring (and intelligent) minds want to know.

  5. Sam....there is at least one more guru who has made his own identity, and those of several of his family members known to many of his members. SfMedic, Medic, or Med as he is now known has never made a secret of who he is. While his motives may be unknown or unverified, his identity is not, and despite a few exaggerated or untrue stories over the years, he's never made any effort to hide it. Montana (Wolf) and a few of the other biggest scammers have gone to great lengths to do so for much more obvious reasons than to protect their families. They can run, but thank to sites like this one, they can't hide.

    1. Thanks Leg. I've never really posted on Med except for The Pumpers and when his name came up in my research on AM. I don't agree with his take on what's happening in Iraq but he doesn't come across as a typical pumper. I only listed him in The Pumpers because he has put so much bad intel out there in the past.

    2. Agreed Sam. His "intel" has been as wrong as any of the others, but to his credit, I think he stopped trusting and providing that intel nearly two years ago. He's definitely the most informed of the gurus in terms of the socio-economic/political situation in Iraq, but I have no doubt his opinion relative to the RV fantasy is way off base, and that he's been presented with more than sufficient evidence to realize it. Therefor his motives are undoubtedly suspect in my opinion. One has to wonder why an individual would devote the amount of time and effort he has without compensation of some kind. If he turns out to be one of the "innocents" which CFO has humorously described below, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

  6. to me....what it great is that the question got answered....it is solely due to this site that it even came up and that means that people are reading this information and are understanding that they are being taken advantage of...doesn't matter if it is wolfey pumping VIP or Sonny playing the town idiot and pretending he actually has contacts...it's great that it's getting out there and HAVING to be addressed.

    1. Jmw that's not fair.....sonny is innocent and we are all idiots.....who cares if sonny has been wrong 99.9% of the times and associates with known frauds. He is innocent and has no involvement in anything. I'm sure when he shares "intel" with James that he doesn't know wolfey is a liar and never went to Harvard, or passed a series 65, or made money on the magical Kuwait rv.....HE IS TOTALLY INNOCENT!!!!!!!!!!!

    2. I too was surprised JMW. I would have thought he was at least "a little" smarter than to have addressed the subject at all, despite the fact that his response was clearly carefully crafted and totally failed to answer the question. At least now, any DV member with ANY degree of intelligence realizes that the charges against Montana (Wolf) are likely accurate and under reported, and may begin to understand that they've been taken. All of the gurus are culpable with varying degrees of "Innocence," but I suspect that Montana is the "least innocent" of the bunch. I guess douchebags come in various shapes, sizes, and degrees of culpability depending on how much "bacteria" needs to be flushed out of them. Adam Montana appears to be the industrial strength, "biggie sized" version. Hopefully a government designed vat of Lysol will destroy all of the guru bacteria in the near future.
