WHNT's "Iraqi Dinar: Fact or Fiction?"

A couple of months ago Alabama TV station WHNT did a segment called "Iraqi Dinar Investment: Smart Move or Scam?".   It was a very good introduction to their follow-up segment which aired on Friday called "Iraqi Dinar: Fact or Fiction?"  In this segment they list several of the claims made by gurus to promote "The RV" and then debunk them.  If their reporting sounds a lot like what I've been saying there's a good reason.  We spoke briefly back in March, and they told me that they came across this blog while doing their research, and that led them to many of their findings.  Well if nothing else we've produced a good resource for debunking.  The best thing to come out of this report IMO was the IMF representative stating emphatically that there is no such thing as a Global Currency Reset (GCR).  Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Eagle1 / Tony / Okie!  I was also glad to see our friend John Jagerson in the video.  I'm preparing another interview with John for later this week.

I don't think it's any coincidence that a TV station in Alabama felt the need to do two reports on the dinar investment scam, and that Mississippi congressman Bennie Thompson warned his constituents not to buy dinar.  That region has been hit especially hard by the scammers because of the lower levels of education.  The dinar scam feeds on ignorance.  My ignorance of how currencies work is what made me vulnerable, which is why I've endeavored to educate people along these lines as I educate myself.  WHNT has now started educating people as well.  Hopefully Michelle Stark's excellent reporting will make a difference, not only in Alabama but nationwide.

  1. Great news Sam. I said at the start of the year, I have a good feeling for 2014 (for scam debunking). Now TV stations are openly calling it a scam, it's starting to "steal the thunder" of the Internet scammers. Reading other forums, and going by increases in EBay auctions, a hell of a lot of people seem to be quietly waking up & bailing out. Good job to yourself for all of your effort put in over the years. Some weeks it may seem like it's going nowhere, but over the years these websites (inc DDB) have made (and still are making) a big difference in putting a dent in the guru's former "unchallenged presence".

  2. Brian that "unchallenged presence" is what has had me so upset for the last couple of years, the fact these scumbags could say and do anything they wanted without repercussion was simply maddening! That's why I was so delighted when I stumbled onto Sam's site here (learned about it at Dinar Vets!!!!) and saw that someone was finally exposing these frauds for what they are, I honestly believe this site has led the fight and done more to bring down this scam than anything else, there's just nothing out there that compares to the work Sam has done in exposing these frauds for not only what they are but who they are! Unfortunately there's still a long way to go and this thing won't collapse completely until the dealers sales drop enough for them to find it no longer profitable to continue to do business and this TV expose' is just the kind of thing we need for that to happen Now if we can just get the "Big boys" like maybe Fox News for example to do something similar to what this small local station has done we might get somewhere fast, sadly the only efforts so by any of the major news services were so poorly done they actually did more harm than good!

  3. Dontlop is in a panic over at DV trying to enforce damage control over this report. LOL. That guy is so transparent it's ridiculous. Every single thread he has to hijack with long winded feel good irrelevant rants to calm the sheep back into the flock. Its pathetic. Of course he would never come here or BI to debate the "RV". Only under Adams censorship blanket will Dontlop spout his ignorance in a feeble attempt to reassure the economically challenged about their "good investment". I guarantee just like Adam, that chump doesn't own a single dinar. They both make money off gullibility and deception.

    1. You might be right, but I'm not so sure. Adam seems quite calculating about it all and I would not expect him to own any dinar and is clearly just taking advantage of people. Dontlop on the other hand (keeping in mind that I don't even play a psychologist on TV) seems like he has some serious emotional issues. He is always talking about his being hugely overweight as if he is proud of it and this is a common defense mechanism for folks who have very low self esteem from, among other things perhaps, being seriously obese. That also fits with his constantly claiming his understanding is so superior and laughing at others in his rants. He appears to me to want rather desperately to see himself as this rebel who is unconstrained by society, "stampeding cattle down main street with the cops chasing me" as his profile states. Going for the RV hook line and sinker fits perfectly with such a personality. But I think the opposite is more likely to be the case. I find him pathetic but rather pitiable as well. Its not even entirely clear if he is helping Adam at this point as only the most diehard of believers, who don't need any convincing, seem to be supporting him these days.

Among Dontlop's fans is of course your buddy DB, who I see does not even understand that having your account on DV listed as "banned" is independent of whether or not you are allowed to login to the site. Adam would of course never ban someone and try to be stealthy about it by not listing them as being banned. Such sneaky behavior is just unthinkable for our dinar hero! What a panic!

  4. "Yes, but these news stations are in on the cover up. Don't you know they're controlled by the government, and they are trying to keep us from receiving our blessings?"

I guarantee you that this will be the response of so many people.

    1. That's already stated! That kind of non-sense started as soon as the piece was aired and it's already being claimed that it's just part of the Government plan to get people to sell their Dinar before the big "RV"!

What I want to ask the idiots (sorry Sam but that description fits best!) who claim the Government is trying to get people to sell is of what benefit is it to either Iraq or the US if these "investors" give up and try to sell their Dinar? Who would they be selling them to? They could only sell them to other delusional "investors" or back to dealers who would then just sell them to "other "investors" so what is gained by either Government? Once out of Iraq and in the hands of the delusional this Dinar is going to remain there no matter or not if the person comes to his/her senses and sells out, the Dinar simply changes hands and the only difference is the owner may have a different face and name! For sure Iraq doesn't want this worthless paper back, it has been a windfall for them and all they had to do was look the other way while bales and bales of those worthless notes were slipped out of the country, they got good US Dollars and other solid foreign currency for that nearly worthless paper and if it don't come back it was simply free money for them so why on Earth would they want it back?

    2. dwm I'm not concerned about calling people idiots in general. I'm more worried about the interaction when people come here to discuss the dinar. I want to keep the discussion/debate civil. But I completely understand your sentiments and have said so many times because I have been accused of working for the government or a dinar dealer.

    3. So Sam you are working for the Dinar Dealing Government huh?!! LMAO... (sarcasm of course)

But in my opinion I think you should've been a judge so you can throw the book at Tony and other Goo Roos...

    4. But you can bet that if there is a report that references the dinar and isn't negative, they will latch onto that as further "proof". Look at them. They still latch onto the vague reference to the dinar that Jim Cramer made 5 years ago (which had nothing to do with a revaluation)! It wouldn't take 30 seconds for it to circulate onto every dinar scam site. It would be celebrated and touted. They'd be dancing in the streets in eager anticipation of the mythical RV. It is very sad to see life pass these people by as they wrap their life around a scam.

  5. I think the brad hubner group has more issues because they were also doing something with hedge funds regarding the dinar or something. Now for that, thy may be able to lock them up....BUT until whatever happens to the dinar happens one way or another, I can't see how the court system could actually charge them with lying about an RV VS RD etc....until something actually happens. Because at this point, unfortunately, their is just a lot of yip yap that shabibi said this or that blah blah blah......their has to be an end to the dinar thing before someone can actually get prosecuted for lying because their is actually no proof they lied about the dinar till the dinar gets redenominated. I think that's why their have not be more arrests of lying goo roos because their has to be a definitive ending to this before the government can prove and persecute for fraud and conspiracy etc......I hope they all rot in jail of course. None of these liars deserve to walk the face of the earth after lying to their sheeple for years and making sh!t up!

  6. Doesn't seem to have phased at least this guru's ego any - here's an excerpt found over at Recaps:

Old_Man_River: praying like crazy. Just lost half my monthly income.
unsure as to how stressed out I should be over it!

    ************

Frank26: BELIEVE in this please ........... What man can take away from You ........ God will replace 10 ....... 100 ....... 1000 Fold.

    KTFA, Frank

So messed up that these guys are still preying on the faith of others in dire situations - just to keep them vested in the illusion. Sure he never claims an RV will be the thing that saves him from the repercusssions of losing his income, but he knows when he says it that that's what the guy will take from it.

Thanks so much everyone on this forum who comment and contribute regularly - to Sam and to Marcus especially for having their respective sites. Opened my eyes in a big way.

  7. Thanks for the kind words, guys. I think the debunking and exposing have reached a point of critical mass, so maybe now I can relax a little. I have a couple more posts to do and then I think I'm going to take another break like I did at the end of 2012.

  8. I saw this little gem over at DV today, it's by RVPleasetoday (RVPlease is one of the "good guys!) and it is true words of wisdom that I thought worth sharing!!! This is in response to another poster telling RV that he had lost all respect for him due to his "Lopster" stance, this just classic!

"why would you have ever had any respect for me. I'm just pixels on a screen. The thing that gets you guys in trouble is that you assume the Internet, and the millions of words of conspiracy theory, are real. They are not.

Try this experiment. Take a good look at your monitor. Looks like a window on the world, doesn't it? Now, turn your computer off. It all disappears, doesn't it? Blink a few times. Look back at your monitor. Still gone, right?

Now, look out the window of your house or apartment. See the trees, flowers, buildings, people walking around? Now close your eyes. Got them closed tight? O.K. Open them. Note that the trees, flowers, buildings and people are still there. Blink your eyes a few times. Everything is still there, right?

That is a window on the real world. Your monitor is not a window on the real world. Everything you see there is nothing but pixels on a screen, not an analogue of the real world.

    Dontlop's response??

    "What a nut case"!

    Dontlop is truly pathetic.

@Azizal1055 I actually heard about Dinar from a financial planner of 30 yrs. He told me about it last year. I just heard of Tony 3 mons ago He was right about gold & silver, buy stock in crash 2008, sell it now. But Dinar seems like gamble, maybe wrong on this one. 10. So I made the mistake of going to a dinar board (its been a long time since I have done that) after the story aired just to check out the reaction. Its amazing how fast a half hour can go by and it just never gets any less crazy. I got sucked into this fight in 2008 because I friend of mine was involved and told me about it years ago. Ironically, he still asks me about once a quarter when/if I think the dinar will be revalued? Cognitive dissonance is an amazing thing. However, I remain hopeful that there are people out there who will save themselves from losing more than they can afford once they see the actual evidence.

    Keep up the good fight!

  11. Of course the goo roos are all out doing damage control from the news story........Stryker also did a long soliloquy as well,
Poppy3 - IF YOU GUYS HAVE LISTENED TO THE ALABAMA NEWS REPORT, THE NEWS MEDIA SAID THE BIGGEST RUMOR THAT HAS ZERO TRUTH TO IT IS A GCR. REMEMBER WHAT OLD POPPY3 POSTED LAST MONTH AND AGAIN A COUPLE DAYS AGO: THERE WILL NOT BE A GCR AS MANY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE… THAT [NEWS] REPORT WAS SO INCOMPLETE IT WAS FUNNY ON MANY POINTS. THESE PEOPLE REPORTING HAD NO IDEA THE SITUATION IN IRAQ AND WHEN THE GUY SAID SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED I THOUGHT…WHERE DID THEY GET THIS [GUY]. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES, IN FACT 7 TIMES WHERE COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN LIBERATED BY WAR…
